A visit to the care home
Posted in News by Content Chef.
On Saturday, June 21st, members of the Student Council visited the FSP Charity Home, a place for young children, quite different from our usual academic environment. Using funds raised from the Children’s Day @ABC 2025 bake sale, we purchased foodstuffs and laundry items for the home.

As
we entered, the joyful laughter of children echoed through the
corridors, lifting our spirits. The caregivers warmly welcomed us and
guided us through the home. Meeting the children brought smiles to our
faces—they were excited to see us and eager to interact. Though some
babies were asleep, we quietly engaged with those who were awake,
learning their names and ages while enjoying their playful energy.

The children played games, moved around cheerfully, and embraced the moment. We also visited other parts of the home, including the playground and caregivers’ quarters. During our visit, we met other families and a group of students doing environmental sanitation, showing that acts of kindness come in many forms.
As we left, the children prayed for us and gave warm goodbyes. We realised we had gained far more than we gave. The visit left us with lasting lessons in compassion, generosity, and the joy of giving.
